Our Story of How We Expanded Our Company

Hello and welcome to CF Entertainment!

You might have known us as C.F Discos and C.F PhotoBooths, but we have decided to re-brand ourselves as CF Entertainment and include all our services into one, easy-to-use website. Over the past year we have expanded our services and experienced a rapid growth of clients. This has enabled us to create a larger team of talented performers, and re-invest back into the business to be able to provide our clients with an even better service. It hasn’t always been easy, and we’ve learnt a great deal along the way. With this in mind, we’re going to share with you a little of the wisdom we have gained on our journey so far, to help you expand and grow your business.

‘DOs’ and ‘DON’Ts’ to consider when expanding your company

  1. The ‘wrong way up an escalator’ effect
DON’T run before you can walk. Focusing on the end goal and goal alone can set you up to feel more deflated than you deserve! It can feel as though you are walking the wrong way up an escalator; a lot of effort and very little movement. DO set smaller, more achievable tasks and set reasonable time frames for each. Check in with yourself and your colleagues, and celebrate the small victories. Not only will this keep spirits high, but you’ll start to see your vision becoming clearer right before your eyes.
  1. Keep an eye on the piggy bank
DON’T forget to budget. There’s nothing worse than forgetting that huge expense and running out of money (trust us!). DO be realistic about what you can afford and properly forecast your expenses.
  1. Clear direction for you (and your customers!)
DON’T lose sight of you company values. They should be the centre of everything your company does, and they are what help to build trust and relationships with your customers. DO adopt your company values early on. If you want to be known for ‘going that extra mile’ – start now! Simply listening to your customers and asking yourself what you can do to go ‘above and beyond’ is fundamental in building such a reputation. DON’T worry if your company values change. You might find that as you grow, your values evolve and adapt to the changes in your client base and their community.
  1. Say ‘yes’!
DO say yes as much as you can! To the customer, yes, but also internally. Keep experimenting and trying different tactics and/or avenues to expand your business. Don’t be afraid of failure – learn from it! But DON’T make promises you can’t keep. There is a lot to be said for a company that is is honest about what they can achieve, and delivers consistent and quality services as opposed to the company that makes grand promises but fails to deliver.

What’s Next…?

We didn’t plan to be CF Entertainment. We planned to make C.F Discos and C.F PhotoBooths as good as we possible could; CF Entertainment was a natural evolution from that effort.
